Carbon Sequestration on land – build – materials – seaweed
Carbon sequestration is often thought of as being either on land or in water, but relatively recent developments have meant that we are now exploring applications which take the products of water based Carbon sequestration and use them on land to reduce Carbon footprint and improve performance in building technologies too!
The developments in using the products of aquatic Carbon sequestration for building on land are rapid and exciting, from using naturally non-toxic and fire-resistant seaweeds directly as insulation and roofing material to adhesives and additives made from algae to strengthen more traditional building materials.
C-Zero commits to using these materials as and when they become available, and to partner in research into them – exciting times for both construction and Carbon sequestration!
